Leandro Trossard scored the only goal of the game in the first half, tapping home from close range after good work from Bukayo Saka.

Manchester United had chances to equalise, but they were unable to find a way past Aaron Ramsdale in the Arsenal goal.

The win takes Arsenal one point clear of Manchester City at the top of the table, and they will be looking to extend their lead when they face Everton next weekend.

Manchester United, meanwhile, remain in fifth place, and they will be looking to bounce back when they face Newcastle United next weekend.
